Here are some nonprofit fundraising tips for the holidays . . .


Get your donors inspried for opening their wallets the last few weeks of the year. Most giving (30%) is made during December:


Major Donors: 80-90% of your income:

  1. Set up a sponsorships

  2. Call them first and let them know that you'll be mailing

  3. Make them of size

  4. Call them again

  5. Keep messages simple, compelling photos, and sense of urgency


Mid-Level Donors:

  1. Same process as above

  2. But now send them your "wishlist" items

  3. $500 - $2000 (Give them to feel ownership


Small Donors (under $200):

  1. Set up a giving ladder

  2. Move them up the ladder

  3. Send it in an email

  4. Short messages (don't want to overwhelm them)

  5. Keep it clean

  6. Simple message, compelling images


Donors are overwhelmed with emails and mailers, and they love you already. Just make it EASY for them to give this holiday season.
